Keeping it colourful with these new illustrations for the City of Edmonton. They were used in a campaign for the new 30km/hr zones in the city. Remember to slow down when you see a junior high, playground or elementary.
New things on the horizon with this new identity I did for Testfire Labs - a local startup building crazy Ai software for the next business generation. The identity uses basic shapes, showing the iterative process the software goes through until final launch.
New branding work for Kikawinaw, a cold tea brewed with ingredients from Indigenous gardens. The custom letterforms in the wordmark are inspired by syllabics from the Cree alphabet and symbols from their tradition. Full tea packaging will be launching in August 2017.
The 2016 Edmonton Airport Annual Report is hot off the press, and it features stunning illustrations from French artist Chez Gertrud. I collaborated with her to create six illustrations with a clever twist in the imagery. In this one, the flags of EIA's major destinations are depicted as clothing on travelers. And just for fun we limited the colour palette to only two colours - red and blue. Voilà.
Art on the Block is the AGA's annual art auction, raising funds for important programs at the gallery. But canapes, music and the attendance of the swishiest Edmontonian's, turn this night into a battle for the most coveted piece of art. This year's theme 'party with purpose' took that to a whole new level. Typographic headline posters, installation art and social media animations promoted the art of competition and invited guests to focus on the prize.
I had some fun doing a series of illustrations for Anthology again this year. This is an illustration based on one of the amazing women - The Bishop - who will be a book at the 2nd Annual Human Library.
